Deborah Healy

About

Deborah Healy is an award-winning artist working in the American South and in the Canadian Maritimes. Her credentials are included in “Who’s Who in American Art” and the “International Who’s Who of Women.” Her illustrations have been commissioned by The New York TimesNew York MagazineAtlantic MagazineBoston GlobeBaltimore SunWashington PostForbes Magazine, HarperCollins, Simon Schuster, Gray Advertising, American Express, Foote Cone and Belding, Johnson & Johnson, Monsanto, Random House, Doubleday, Warner Brothers, Disney, UNICEF, The United Nations, Paramount Studios, Farrar Straus & Giroux, Verlag Antije Kunstmann, Scholastic, Pocket Books and many others. She was an artist in residence at the American Academy in Rome in 2009.

Exhibitions include: Society of Illustrators, M Gallery, Sarasota, Aquavella, New York, The Donnell Library, New York, Newark Museum, New Jersey, Montclair Art Museum, Montclair New Jersey, New York Art Directors Club, Pentagon Art Collection, Forbes Collection, Johnson & Johnson Collection. Her animations have received awards at Vanderbilt Festival, New Jersey Council for the Arts Fellowships (four), Black Maria Film Festival (interview) Annecy, Zagreb Festivals, Swedish and Danish Television, Italian Television, Chicago Art Institute, etc. Before teaching at Ringling College of Art & Design, Deborah worked for Walt Disney Feature Animation in Burbank California.
